"accidentally" shot Harry Whittington, a then-78-year-old Texas attorney, with a shotgun on Armstrong ranch in Texas. Instead of notifying proper authorities or the white house news correspondents. Dick decided to pull a smooth move and wait till the following day to release anything to the press. He then had the ranch owner notify the local news paper instead of the proper channels.

When Dick was tested the next day for alcohol there was remnants. (low levels) Dick claimed he drank later that night to relax his nerves. When they questioned others in the hunting party they said they had been drinking all day.

Now you have to ask yourself... was the president lying?
